oh god! help me decide, i need one to australia!
tak tau kenapa, today, suka-suka saja dropped by at IMU's Extra Curriculum Activities (ECA) Recruitment Drive.
after countless profound and serious thoughts, me, the giam siap one, who only do things which required least contributions but gaining maximum benefits decides to join chinese cultural society, photography club, and helen keller society. now why??
coz chinese cultural society gives the opportunity for their members to participate in their chinese instruments classes for monthly fees of only 1/2 of the market price. hmm... still thinking of whether to continue my guzheng or learn up er hu this time. and best of all is that, i heard my senior (who also learned guzheng under same school as mine) said tiffany (former guzheng mentor) is coming over to IMU to give lessons. hooray!!!
then then then, there's this photography club which offers FREE trip to erg..humph... 'zoo negara' as a photography outing to develop member's interest in seeing nature through the lens. WHOA SEH!
they also provide FREE photography skills lessons for members. free things always sound so good eh..
but i had always wanted to join this club even if it doesn't provide these "great" offer. so now lagi best lah, one stone kill two birds loh. now i can populate my flickr account with dexterous photos liao loh. paiseh, paiseh.. :P
joining helen keller society was because i thought it was rather cool having to communicate without words. but there's a fee to pay for the class which comes together with a sign language handbook. good thing is, there's always FREE TRIAL. haha... decide later lah..
the third month of uni sailed away just like that. 3 months of doubtful student life were spent on ceaseless production of lab reports and never-ending tutorials. classes were arranged in such a way that you have 4-5 hours between lectures (stupid lah, want to go home also cannot liao). what you can do is either to jay walk around the campus or act studious in library, memorizing names of hormones, skeletal muscles functions and drugs calculations.
class tests are just weeks away, end of semester exam in 2 months. yet, i am so not prepared for it. very frequently had i given myself excuses to finish up lab reports prior to touching my remaining 13 module guides. 13!!! how am i supposed to remember the contents of 13 psychological daunting texts within 2 months?
afterall things couldn't be that bad with the help of some experienced lecturers in IMU. one thing to note is that lecturers here are really something. (this ABSOLUTELY excludes my math lecturer, who is a disaster)
they REALLY have vast and solid knowledge of their instructed subject. in my case, physiology, foundation chemistry lecturers are really awesome. (but dunno why ar, i still fall asleep in their lectures)
so far, physiology has been the most weary and astounding subject. there's just so so so so so so damn many names of blood vessels, hormonal effects, muscle fibers, endocrine structures, cell organizations, (you name it -_-) i have to remember. it's a relieve that i had chosen a-levels over ausmat couple of years ago, learning the fact that a-levels had actually sufficiently equipped their students with the fundamental knowledges of the subjects we are studying now.
but mathematics!!! oh dear!! totally forgotten differentiations, integrations, and yes, nonetheless trigonometry. calculations are never my cup of tea. i had rather spend hours memorizing human body systems than squeezing brain juice completing those intricate math problems. not that i dislike math, it's just that i do not have the patience to figure out the things which involve only numbers 0-9. i need illustrations, colours, interesting texts, simple definitions to assist my learning.
how lah am i going to puke out facts from 13 books into my exams? God, help me!!
