living 2 decades of my life, today was one of the days when i truly appreciate the buildings i see so often when i passed through them every now and then. i went with my long time no see cousin brother, derek, whose hailed from canada (and is now a native of canada) to these 'abandoned-by-locals' tourists' attractions.
we departed from taman bahagia lrt station to klcc and headed into petronas twin tower 1 to get FREE tickets to access the skybridge. though living in kl for so many years, i never really took the initiative to get upclose with the skyscrapers of the city. so, we queued up and was attended by an officer who is responsible to jot down where the visitors are from.
too bad, the morning session was full that day, so will have to try next day.

my my, the twin towers do look magnificent. it made me proud as a malaysian. i really do.

so we took the lrt again and proceeded to masjid jamek.
yes, heard of it so many times, all i knew about masjid jamek was that it's an interchange station for lrt. (vain -__-")
sesiously i don't even know that the mosque is located just beside the station. we walked so far away to dataran merdeka and had to asked directions. poor me.. shameful! it felt as though i am a foreign tourist myself.

so, we turned back and found this mosque which turns 100 this year. and i was required to wear this selendang as a tudung before entering. it was very very hot that day, and with the selendang covering my head, i was sweating profusely.

to our surprise, we found out that our national flag, jalur gemilang is no longer at the square. we wonder if it had been taken to the laundry, since it has not been washed for 50 years. HAHA..

little do i know about the function of this particular building. i only remember that it has a clock tower by the side. today i knew. it once houses the administration offices for the state and also Royal Malaysia Court, Malaya's High Court, and KL High Court.
and at last... after a year searching for it, to and fro from various shopping centres, i've got myself a bag! a white bag! a cheap and white bag! a non-ciplak, cheap and white bag! a warrantied, non-ciplak, cheap and white bag! actually not very cheap also lah, but worth every penny >>> rm 59. i always make good choices, so proud of myself... muahaha, paiseh paiseh...

bought it at sungei wang today at this shop named Shopalot. i personally quite fancy this shop cause the things they sell are of better quality for the price. it has products for more, um.... i wouldn't say more decent, but more for women who has mature taste. (not to say that i'm old-fashioned ok) HAHAHHA....
those who were familiar with sungei wang, you definitely know the things they sell are .. you know... yes... that's right....HAHAHAHAHA
in fact this shop is located in BB plaza, the sister building of sungei wang, where metrojaya lands on. Shopalot offers discounts now when you purchase 2 items and above, if one, no discount. for women's sandals-20%, handbags and accessories-20 to 70%, apparels, 20-50%, lingeries- not sure.. (hahaha.. not in the mood for those)
and oh yes, i'd officially finished my 12days roadshow for my part-time job. am happy because i can finally leave the place i've been standing for 10 hours everyday, sad because i would have to say goodbye to some of the very nice friends i've made there. thank you to all of you who has taught and assisted me throughout these days.
and now that i have the money, i am going to have a hair do this friday, a whole new hairstyle. wheeeee!!!! happy- happy-me..

while most of us are cheering for the shocking news of our country's 12th election results, i'm pondering if this might be the best resolve for our country's future.
barisan national has lost penang, kedah, kelantan, perak and selangor to opposition parties namely-DAP, KEADILAN and PAS. the largest defeat of barisan nasional in history.
but what shocked malaysia most is the defeat of samy vellu to keadilan's candidate in sungai siput.
the next big shock is the defeat of koh shu koon to DAP candidate. sad case...
and what saddens me is that my beloved state, perak's menteri besar is not any candidate from DAP but from PAS!!!!! OH MY...!!
this is because perlembagaan states that 'other' races cannot be menteri besar. you say!
DAP was the biggest winner in the Opposition coalition, sweeping all 18 state seats it contested in Perak loh! i thought DAP should have the biggest say!
i can't imagine....
on the whole, this year's election more or less reflects how malaysian view our government and now that the verdict is cast, we'll just have to keep our fingers cross, that this malaysian's decision would be the best for our country's development. god bless!
and please, no more rise in price of petrol, and please reduce our toll charges, please lah..

me : well, yes.
mr liew : ok, so i'll tell you your individual subjects marks.
(me, gasping heavily. equipped with a pen in my hands)
mr liew : and the subjects you've taken are?
me : chemistry unit 1
mr liew : chemistry unit 1 is 81/90
(starts to get happy already)
me : chemistry unit 2?
mr liew : 74/90
(hmm... ~__~)
me : chemistry unit 5?
mr liew : 84/90
(heart yelling happily already..>u<)
me : ok, then biology unit 1?
mr liew : biology unit 1 is 96/100
(heart screaming happily again!!!)
me : ok ok.. then um.. biology unit 4?
mr liew : wah...you took quite a lot of units eh.. ?
me : Hahahha.. yah...

me : biology unit 5?
mr liew : 80/100
me : last one is biology unit 6

anyways, i am very glad for my chemistry is now officially an A!!!!!
but what i am most glad with is that all the marks has improved tremendously..(except for the bio 6 lah)
though i can't get an A for bio as well, i am aleady very satisfied with my marks already, at least i know my hard work has paid off. i already knew my unit 6 might not score well cause it's a very subjective unit >> planning experiment from a situation given. such wide scope and various answers can be given. this unit has always been the 'killer' unit for all bio students.
well, peiying is a happy person again.. lala la laa laa...
