2 days ago, it was this annual jusco day over at 1utama shopping centre. that day.... was ... a once in a lifetime eye-opener! never had i seen THIS much of people congregating in 1u, oh no, the word congregate is too mild for the situation i'd witnessed. man, i just couldn't come out with a proper word to describe the chaos.
imagine10 aunties grabbing the same bedsheet or handbag, the moment aunty A 'released' her item, either aunty B,C,D caught hold of it. and that was just roughly 0.001% of the scenario on that day itself. for those who had been to 1u, imagine the whole old wing (jusco portion) filled with these frenzies. the whole jusco oulet were flooded with people, regardless of women, men, both young and old. jusco had tripled up the amount of cashier counters, voucher redemption counters and hence the business hours, yet it did little to alleviate the commotion .one of the promoters mentioned that he worked OT from 7am to 12pm that day, and the wage for ONLY that day was RM500!!! memang menakutkan!
in conjunction to jusco day, other retail outlets responded by giving away great discounts too. just flash your JCard, you're entitled for additional 20-50% discounts on selected items. WHOA MAN! the influence of jusco day is just too overpowering.
ya loh! you've guessed it right! me and my mom joined in the frenzy too. haha..
it's a week for mass expenditure!!! why are sales so enticing?
#1 28" luggage for australia trip (and future UK use)
# 2 it's a 50% off pierre cardin bargain, accounts for RM260. till now i still doubt the proper pronunciation of the word 'cardin'. is it car-din or car-dine? shameful me -__-"
#3 long sleeve shirt from viva, sue said better bring more long sleeves over to australia since winter's approaching. you see sue, i listened to you.. :P
#4 heels from parkson's NYC. 50% off again! comes in khaki and black colour. hmm.. still pondering if i should have bought the black one..?
#5 the upclose
#6 last but not least, the (cheap) striped scarf i've been searching for so long. somerset bay offered this wool-materialed scarf at rm39, how can i not buy it? so loved the colour combination.
so these summed up the reason for me being a regular visitor of the ATM machine. the sad thing is, more shopping needs to be done, for the trip, for UK, and most importantly for the fact that price of goods are on the rise due to the depreciation of malaysian ringgit. i'm such a wise consumer. wakakakkakaka...!!! *claps*
can sombody explain to me, what happened to malaysia's climate? what is the cause of me sweating while typing this, and showering 4 times a day? worse still, i have to rot at home under this tormenting climate for a month..
*dead*
